A Savvy Shopper's Guide to Bargains, Deals, & Freebies

FREE SHIPPING on prints & photo gifts at Snapfish September 4, 2010

SnapfishThis deal could not have arrived at a better time! When my son was born, nearly 5 years ago, I was SO good at printing photos and putting them in albums. Yeah, well, that time ended when he was just a few months old. (Queue the mommy guilt!) Time to get back on the ball and print the “best of the best” to put in albums for my kids!

Through September 11, 2010, Snapfish is offering FREE SHIPPING on prints and photo gifts! No minimum purchase! Just use code FREELDSHIP on your order. Be sure to pack that shopping cart full because the code is only good once per account. (For the details, click here and scroll to the bottom.)

Here’s a tip. If you use Picasa to share your photos online with friends, you can print those photos using Snapfish without having to upload your photos to Snapfish. From within Picasa, just click Prints > Order Prints, then choose Snapfish. Your selected Picasa photos will automatically be imported to Snapfish!

FREE 5×7″ photo print (BOGO) August 13, 2010

WalmartI’m not usually a big fan of “Wally World,” but here are a few good reasons to stop by Walmart in the near future. (1) Their organic foods section is growing. (2) Their school supplies are inexpensive. (3) You can get a FREE 5×7″ HP print when you buy one!

Time to pull out your favorite photo from this summer to print — one copy for you and one for the grandparents. Or, perhaps you have a couple of photos that you’ve been meaning to get printed for that collage frame that’s collecting dust in your office? Use this printable coupon at your local Walmart to get a FREE 5×7″ HP photo print when you buy one! Stop by the HP kiosk the next time you’re shopping.

FREE 8×10″ photo collage at Walgreens June 18, 2010

What to do with lots of related photos without breaking the bank? Put them together in an 8×10″ photo collage — and get it for FREE! I made one of these with photos from last summer’s family reunion the last time I saw this deal, and this time I’m going to make a collage using photos from my son’s first teeball season!

These 8×10″ photo collages are SO easy to make, and you can get one FREE (with no S&H charge) when you choose in-store pick-up! Simply go to the Walgreens Photo site and upload your photos. Use code GOBIG8X10 to get your 8×10″ collage for FREE at check-out. If you prefer to have it shipped, shipping is just 99cents!

Here’s something to ponder… This is a fabulous FREE gift that you can have printed at a Walgreens that isn’t near you, but is near your dad or someone who’d like a photo collage from you? Have the collage printed at the Walgreens nearest the recipient and ask him or her to swing by to pick it up! Now that’s being resourceful!

Find a Walgreens near you (or someone you love)!

Expires: Order by midnight tomorrow (Saturday, 6/19/2010)

TODAY: $1 printer ink cartridge refills @ Walgreens April 22, 2010

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely cringe at the price of printer ink cartridges… even with coupons, they’re still pricey. Well, gather up your empty printer ink cartridges, my friends, and check out this GREAT deal!

TODAY ONLY Walgreens is offering $1 PRINTER CARTRIDGE REFILLS (normally $12.99) — for black OR color ink! Now, that’s being resourceful!

A friend who lives in San Antonio told me about this deal, and I called my local Walgreens in Dallas to inquire. Find a Walgreens near you (check the box next to “printer cartridge refills”), and give them a shout. I believe this deal is good at any Walgreens that has the printer cartridge refill service.

Expires: Only good today, 4/22/2010

Thanks, Erin & Todd P.!

FREE 8×10″ Canvas of your Photo March 27, 2010

They’re at it again! (Woohoo!) I just got word from a friend who is a professional photographer that Canvas People is offering a FREE 8×10″ canvas print of your photo or image, or a $55 credit toward a larger canvas size, photo effects, and frames — again! All you have to pay is shipping, which was just $14.95 when I tried it out (for an 8×10″ canvas to be shipped to Texas).

Their products are gallery-wrapped, so the image goes all the way around the frame and what you receive is a finished product. They’re also “sprayed for protection” so that the art can withstand the test of time.

My photog friend took advantage of this deal the last time it was offered and she was thrilled with the results. I hold her opinion in high esteem. After all, she knows her photography stuff!

Mother’s Day is coming up sooner that you think… (May 9th!) Take the hint and thank me later. :)

Thanks, Jessica of JK Photography!
