moviesOh, I remember back in the day when movies were just a couple of bucks to attend… and I remember the more recent days when my kids both fit into the “3 & under – FREE” category. Now it seems like it costs a fortune to hit the theater! This deal solves that problem!

Hop on board to snag 4 movie tickets for just $20 — that’s just $5 each! According to Mamapedia, “the tickets are good for ANY movies, including 3D and IMAX, shown in theatres that use http://www.fandango.com or http://www.movietickets.com,” so you should be able to use these across the country! You can even give this set of 4 tickets as a gift (surely this would make a great “thank you” gift for your child’s teacher or a coworker who did you a favor)!

Find a theater near you that uses Fandango.com or MovieTickets.com.

Expires: Make your purchase by 9/30/10. You’ll need to redeem the voucher online by 12/31/10 and use the tickets by 3/30/11.

FREE movie ticket to The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (BOGO) July 15, 2010

The dog days of summer are here… Time to hit the theater! There’s nothing like sitting in those big comfy movie theater seats, in glorious air conditioning, as the lights dim and the movie begins. Oh, the anticipation!

Here’s your chance to see Disney’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (PG) and get a FREE ticket when you buy one! You’ll need to buy your ticket(s) in advance online, but this lets you bypass the line at the box office window and cruise on in to see the show.

1. Simply go to Fandango.com, enter your zip code, and choose the showing of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice you’d like to see.

2. Enter the ticket quantity (at least two), check the box to enter a promo code, then click “Continue Checkout”.

3. On the next screen, enter your email address (so you’ll receive the confirmation email), and UNCHECK the box below if you don’t want to get newsletters from Fandango; click “Continue Checkout”.

4. Now you’re at the spot to enter promo code APPRENTICE to get your FREE TICKET! Click “Apply” below the text box. (Note that it will deduct the ticket price PLUS the $1 Fandango service fee for your free ticket, and there’s a limit of one free ticket per transaction.) Continue your checkout to pay for and receive your tickets!

Enjoy the show!

FREE tickets to Toy Story 3 – a reminder June 20, 2010

PLEASE NOTE: I have no affiliation with Toy Story 3, Disney/Pixar, or any movie theaters, and no matter how nicely you ask me, I can’t get you any free tickets. That’s something you have to do on your own. 🙂

Happy Father’s Day to all those great dads out there! What are you doing to celebrate? We’re headed to the movies!

Do you remember that deal we shared back at the end of March where you could get FREE tickets to Toy Story 3 when you bought Toy Story 1 & 2 on DVD? Well, now is the time to redeem those certificates at DisneyMovieRewards.com!

I redeemed ours last night online and it was VERY simple. Our vouchers are printed and ready to go for our local Cinemark Theater. I made sure to put the adults’ names on the vouchers since the kids cost less anyhow! The vouchers are good for up to $8.50 per ticket and even good for the “no coupons, no passes” showing of Toy Story 3.

In memory of my daddy who is celebrating up in Heaven today, I wanted to throw in a plug about the importance of being a registered organ and/or tissue donor. For more info on how to be the ultimate in resourceful, please click here. If you’re not ready to register, please at least start the conversation with your family.

Happy Father’s Day!

What’s the plan for this evening? After work, maybe you’ll hit the grocery store then head home to the pile of laundry you put off from yesterday, right? I have a better idea. How about putting the laundry on the back burner for just one more day, rally the troops, and head to the movies?  How about going to the movies for just 75 cents per person?!?!

Yes! This is true! Cinemark is running a “Reel Family Time” promo right now where, at selected theaters, if you purchase 3 or more tickets, they’re just 75 cents each on Mondays! That makes each ticket cost less than pretty much everything nowadays.

So, go! Have fun! That laundry can wait.
