If you purchased the deal I posted on 9/28 (4 movie tickets for $20) and haven’t redeemed them yet, I have an important update for you! You can get a refund (and/or credit) on those tickets — BUT YOU NEED TO HURRY! Since they had an expiration date of 1/5/2011, I *think* you need to act on this refund/credit opportunity BY JANUARY 5th in order to get your money back.

Here’s the scoop:

“If any of your subscribers have tickets leftover from the Mamapedia $20 for 4 Movie Tickets deal they are no longer valid. I tried redeeming my last two tickets and was told they were expired (they don’t expire until Jan 5). When I went back through my emails and went to the Weekly Cinema website I received this message:

We regret to inform you that the Weekly Cinema program is being discontinued and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Mamapedia has informed us that they are processing credits or refunds for un-redeemed tickets related to coupons purchased from them and you should be hearing from Mamapedia shortly. Please check your Mamapedia account or contact their customer support at deals@mamapedia.com

Many thanks to Being Resourceful reader Torie for this update!

moviesOh, I remember back in the day when movies were just a couple of bucks to attend… and I remember the more recent days when my kids both fit into the “3 & under – FREE” category. Now it seems like it costs a fortune to hit the theater! This deal solves that problem!

Hop on board to snag 4 movie tickets for just $20 — that’s just $5 each! According to Mamapedia, “the tickets are good for ANY movies, including 3D and IMAX, shown in theatres that use http://www.fandango.com or http://www.movietickets.com,” so you should be able to use these across the country! You can even give this set of 4 tickets as a gift (surely this would make a great “thank you” gift for your child’s teacher or a coworker who did you a favor)!

Find a theater near you that uses Fandango.com or MovieTickets.com.

Expires: Make your purchase by 9/30/10. You’ll need to redeem the voucher online by 12/31/10 and use the tickets by 3/30/11.

$1.49 Mickey & Minnie bags & FREE SHIPPING (on everything) at Disney Store September 2, 2010

I just love it when the Disney Store offers FREE SHIPPING on everything! That’s when I go straight to their Minnie Bagsale section and stock up on birthday and holiday gifts. You know those birthdays are coming up, so why not save yourself the time of rushing around later?

Here’s a resourceful idea! Instead of using wrapping paper or a paper gift bag the next time you give a gift, use a Mickey bagMickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse reusable eco-friendly shopping bag! Right now they’re just $1.49 a piece with FREE shipping from the Disney Store.

Their lunch totes are on sale for just $3.99 (reg. $12.50) and the matching backpacks are on sale for just $7.99 (reg. $19.50). Themes include Minnie, Mickey, fairies, princesses, Handy Manny, Phineas & Ferb, Toy Story – Woody & Buzz, Cars, and more! Put those two items together and you have one heck of a fabulous gift for a kiddo! And, who says adults can’t use Disney lunch totes for work? 🙂

And, NOW is the time to buy those Halloween costumes…

$4 Movie Tickets Nationwide! August 27, 2010

moviesLast week I took my kids to the movies on a weekday morning and it cost $5 per person — $5 for a 10:30am movie! I couldn’t believe it. I realize I’m no longer a spring chicken, and I don’t get to the movies often these days, and inflation, inflation, blah, blah, blah… BUT here’s a deal to solve that problem!

Moms! Dads! Relatives & friends of college kids! This is a GREAT gift to send to those college students! Below the blue “Buy!” button, there’s a picture of a present with the link “Buy it for a friend!” You can purchase movie tickets at this great discount and the gift recipient can redeem them at his/her leisure!
